bread and cup

mom, kate, cara and i had another great post-run meal at bread & cup.

we shared 'the conversation' - a bottle of zinfandel, a delicious porter cheese, wheat baguette, hummus and a tomato garlic spread that can kill your breath for days. we finished with chocolate bread pudding, which i unexpectedly loved. being a traditional bread pudding fanatic, i was wary of the chocolate factor. but the boys and girls at bread and cup, they make a good meal! i'm happy to have them in lincoln.

(p.s. thank you beerorkid. i lifted this image off your site. i really should get a phone with a better camera.)

I do not sign up for many newsletters, but the B&C one is pretty cool. Usually a small story and reminder of things going on down there.

I make my own bread and get lots from Le Quartier. A email from B&C made me go get some bread from them and I was pleasantly satisfied.

i also love le quartier! i often stop for lunch (the vegetarian panini with fresh mozz, grilled just enough to make the bread crispy but not to melt the cheese or wilt the greens, is SO GOOD) and pick up a walnut sourdough loaf that is half eaten before i get home with it at 5!
